Sponsored walk along the Tarka Trail

On Saturday the 27th July Noah's Place held its very first sponsored walk along the Tarka trail. We had a fantastic turnout from our volunteers, family and friends and are waiting for the donations to come in to see how much we've raised. The walkers Left Bideford at 9.00AM Saturday morning only to be greeted with wind, rain and thunder. As they got to Instow they were very fortunate to be greeted by the sun which very luckily stayed with them the rest of the way. After making a few stops for lunch or drinks breaks they made it to Barnstaple. In Barnstaple from 8.00AM, we had a stall set up in the square where we were selling cakes and holding a tombola. We had a very warm reception and many people coming up o ask about the charity and have a go on the tombola! Once the walkers were in Barnstaple they made their way over to the square where they were greeted at the stall with a certificate, medal and a slice of lovely cake. All-in-all we think it was a fantastic day and are overwhelmed by the amount of support received. We will definitely be holding another walk next year!
